Other on board facilities include Dining Car Saloons,Bar Lounge,Aryuvedic Spa,Mini Gymnasium & Conference Saloon The concept of luxury train tours in India is,that overnight you travel from one town to another in comfort of prviate sleeping chambers & enjoy pre-paid group excursions in each tourist town with services of English Speaking Guide.

On limited runs between 2009 to 2013 The Deccan Odyssey Train operated on 7 Nights Mumbai/New Delhi & vice versa circuit as Indian Maharaja covering Taj Mahal, Rajasthan Forts & Palaces with UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ajanta & Ellora Caves under a private tour operator

From Oct 2014 onwards ,The Deccan Odyssey Train has been chartered by a private tour operator & scheduled to operate on Ten Different Journeys across North ,West & Central India of Two Nights,Three Nights,Four Nights & Seven Nights Duration.
Here,we are only marketing 7 Nights/8 Days Indian Odyssey Journey circuit aboard Deccan Odyssey Train from New Delhi to Mumbai covering Taj Mahal with Forts & Palaces of Rajasthan with Vadodara.

Sat: Day 1: New Delhi Depart
Report at Delhi Cantt Railway Station to traditional welcome. Complete your check-in formalities and be escorted to your designated cabin.Train departs.Dinner on board

Sun: Day 02: SawaiMadhopur (Ranthambore Tiger Reserve)
Early morning train arrives at Sawai Madhopur Railway Station. Morning &Afternoon excursion to Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve – which was once the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur & now home to more than 35 Royal Bengal Tigers number of other mammals, reptiles & bird species .Depart at Night

Mon: Day 03: AGRA –City Of Taj Mahal
Breakfast on-board, followed by a visit to one of the seven wonders of the world; the magnificent TajMahal. Later visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, a Mughal mausoleum; followed by UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Agra Fort. Dinner on board.

Tue: Day 04: Jaipur-The Pink City
Known as the pink city, Jaipur is famous for it’s Maharajas & now capital of Rajasthan. You visit the major forts and palaces of the city like City Palace, HawaMahal& Amber Fort. Allotted time for shopping, gems, handicrafts & much more; unique to this city.Special gala dinner at a royal venue. Return to train at night.

Wed: Day 05: Jodhpur-Fort Town
With most of the houses painted blue, it is known as the blue city. Breakfast on board and proceed for a walking tour of the famous old market. Then visit Mehrangarh Fort, 400 feet above sea level and one of the largest in India. Return to train in the evening.

Thurs: Day 06: Udaipur –City of Lakes
Arrival in the morning at Udaipur, breakfast on board and then proceed to World famous City Palace Complex, along Lake Pichola. Admire the exquisiteness and take a boat ride of the lake. Later visitJag Mandir Palace with it’s marble pavilion and fantastic view. Return to train and depart.

Fri: Day 07: Vadodra-Palace Town
Arrival in ancient royal city of Gaekwads, located in the state of Gujrat. Breakfast on board and visit UNESCO World Heritage Site, Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, then the Jama Masjid mosque. Afterwards, see the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum located inside the Maharaja’s Palace. Later, enjoy a folk dance performance and a royal feast at the Laxmi Vilas Palace.

Sat: Day 08: Mumbai
Morning arrival in Mumbai. Check out from train on arrival after early breakfast.

Terms & Conditions

Booking Procedure - Deccan Odyssey
- Forward Names & Nationality with passport copy of all passengers with date of journey to process the booking.
- Booking will be confirmed on receipt of minimum 30% advance deposit of ticket value.
- Balance Payment must reach us at least 70 days before tour date.
- Booking request made less than 70 days before tour depart will be confirmed on receipt of full one time payment.

Cancellation Rules – Deccan Odyssey
- All requests for cancellation must be received in writing
- Any requests for amendments in tour dates/ passengers names will be treated as cancellation
- Minimum 20% of Ticket value will be charged as Cancellation fee ,if request received > 65 days prior of tour depart
- MINIMUM 50% of Ticket Value cost will be charged as cancellation fee if request received between 35 to 64 days prior to tour depart.
- Full 100% of Ticket Value t will be charged as cancellation fee if request received Less than 35 days prior to depart
- The train tour is operated by Train Division Wing of Coxs & Kings (India) & Liability of Royal Indian Trains/Lawrence Travels is limited to that of a booking agent only.
- Disputes(if any) subject to jurisdiction to courts of New Delhi(India) only
- If train tour is cancelled due to minimum passenger policy,only advance received for Train Tour Value will be refunded (without any further liability)
- Overseas Guests are requested to obtain Indian Visa before boarding flight to India
- Overseas Guests are requested to pre-purchase travel insurance from point of origin of travel.
