Duration: 03 Nights 04 Days
Destination: Delhi - Corbett - Ranikhet - Delhi

Tour Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Delhi | Drive from Delhi to Corbett (250 km/approx. 7 hours)
Once you arrive at the Delhi airport/railway station, you will be driven to Corbett.
Named after the famous hunter, author and conservationist Jim Corbett, the Jim Corbett National Park was declared as a national park in the year 1936, making it the first of its kind in mainland Asia. Situated at an elevation ranging from 385 m to 1100 m above sea level, this wildlife reserve lies in two districts of Uttarakhand – Pauri and Nainital.
Encompassing an area of about 521 sq km, this national park along with reserve forest areas and Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary forms the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Known to be the richest bird habitat of the country with 600 avifauna species, this park is also home to rare and endangered animal species, especially Asiatic elephant and Bengal tiger. This national park has been divided into five tourist zones, namely Domunda, Sonanadi, Dhikala, Bijrani and Jhirna.
On reaching Corbett, complete the check-in formalities at the designated accommodation and rest for a while. Thereafter, spend the rest of the day at leisure by going to the watchtowers (at Phulai, Jhirna and Dhikala) to get a panoramic view of the park and witness wildlife. Alternatively, visitors camping at Bijrani and Dhikala can enjoy screening of wildlife films over here.
Later, return to the accommodation facility and stay overnight.

Day 02: Drive from Corbett to Ranikhet (130 km/approx. 4 hours)
In the morning, you may go on a safari in the national park (charges applicable). You can either choose for an elephant safari or Jeep safari.
An elephant safari will give an opportunity to witness wild animals up close in their natural habitat, while you explore the forest passing deep valleys, rugged tracks and rainwater drains. In a Jeep safari, you can cover a large area of Corbett in a short span of time, and it will be give you a better chance to take pictures of wild animals you come across.
After the safari tour, come back to the accommodation unit and get ready to check-out. Later, drive from Corbett to Ranikhet. Located at an altitude of about 1829 m above sea level, Ranikhet is a picturesque hill station in the Almora district of Uttarakhand. The name Ranikhet literally means 'Queen's Meadow' and it was here where the Kumaon Regiment's headquarters was established by the British in the year 1869. Thereafter, it served as a summer retreat for the British.
On arrival in Ranikhet, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and rest for a while. Spend the rest of the day in leisure by visiting the prominent markets of this place, such a Khari Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar and Zaroori Bazaar. In addition, you can visit the KRC Golf Club and Ranikhet Club to have a good time.
Thereafter, retreat to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 03: Sightseeing in Ranikhet
In the morning, get ready to explore the picturesque hill station of Ranikhet. You may start your sightseeing trip of the town with a visit to its famous temples, like Jhula Devi Temple and Rama Temple.
The Jhula Devi Temple, which lies at a distance of around 7 km from Ranikhet, is devoted to Goddess Durga. Thousands of devotees pay a visit to this temple every year. Its popularity can be ascertained from the number bells hanged to its temple walls. It is believed that doing so brings good luck and prosperity. Located in proximity to this temple is another famous shrine – Rama Temple. Dedicated to Lord Ram, this holy temple is situated on a hill and devotees need to take a flights of stairs to reach there. In this temple, there is a monastery where ancient vedas and modern mathematics is taught to students.
After the spiritual tour, proceed towards Chaubatia Gardens located at a distance of approximately 10 km from Ranikhet. This garden is famous for its apple orchards, along with plantation of almonds, peaches, apricots and chestnuts. In addition, there is a rich variety of flower plants in the garden, with the snow-clad Himalayan mountains forming its backdrop. Besides purchasing these fruits, you can buy artisan honey and fresh fruit juices from the store located here.
Thereafter, visit the Army Museum that houses a huge collection of items associated with heroics of the Kumaon Regiment from World War I till date. The museum is maintained by the regiments of Naga and Kumaon of the Indian Army. Some of the prominent attractions at the museum are the enemy flags and weapons captured by the Kumaon Army, and especially, a boat of LTTE that was secured during Operation Pawan. This museum is the best place to learn about the bravery of the soldiers of this regiment and those martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect their motherland.
After the day-long sightseeing trip, return to the hotel and get a good night's sleep.
